The Monte Bondone is a mountain in the west of Trento in northern Italy and belongs to the mountain range of the Lake Garda Mountains . The height is 2180 m slm
The Monte Bondone is considered the local mountain of Trento and is of great tourist importance. In winter it is a well-known center for skiing and cross-country skiing , in July the Trento – Bondone car race takes place on the streets on the slopes . The road on the Monte Bondone reaches its highest point at 46 ° 2 ' N , 11 ° 3' O at an altitude of 1650 m slm
The Tre Cime del Bondone are also popular hiking peaks. At 2180 m, Monte Cornetto is the highest mountain in this group, next to it are Dosso d'Abramo (2133 m) and Cima Verde (2102 m). There is also an extremely difficult via ferrata at Dosso d'Abramo , which is currently closed (as of 2013).
With a notch height of over 1500 m, Monte Bondone is one of the most prominent mountains in the Alps.
