Tonadico (in the local dialect: Tonadìch ) is a fraction of the Italian municipality ( comune ) Primiero San Martino di Castrozza in Trentino in the Trentino-South Tyrol region .

geography

The place is located in Primör about 57 kilometers east-northeast of Trento at an altitude of 750  m slm at the beginning of the valley of the same name through which the Torrente Canali flows.

history

Tonadico was an independent municipality until 2015 and merged with the municipalities of Fiera di Primiero , Siror and Transacqua on January 1, 2016 to form the new municipality of Primiero San Martino di Castrozza. The municipality Toandico belonging fractions San Martino di Castrozza and Tessane. The neighboring municipalities were Canale d'Agordo (BL), Falcade (BL), Fiera di Primiero, Gosaldo (BL), Moena , Predazzo , Sagron Mis , Siror, Taibon Agordino (BL), Transacqua and Voltago Agordino (BL). The municipality belonged to the Comunità di Primiero and bordered directly on the province of Belluno ( Veneto ).

Villa Welsperg in Val Canali is the seat of the Parco Naturale Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino nature park with a lithothek (mineral collection), xylothek (wood and tree collection) and a herbarium for shrubs ( fruticoteca ).
