Transacqua (in the local dialect: Tresàkua ) is a fraction of the Italian municipality ( comune ) Primiero San Martino di Castrozza in the province of Trento in the Trentino-Alto Adige region . Transacqua was an independent municipality until 2015.

The place is about 56 kilometers east-northeast of Trento at an altitude of 746 mslm on the orographic left side of the valley in Primiero at the confluence of the Torrente Canali into the Torrente Cismon .
history
On January 1, 2016, Transacqua merged with the municipalities of Fiera di Primiero , Tonadico and Siror to form the new municipality of Primiero San Martino di Castrozza. The municipality of Transacqua had 2132 inhabitants on December 31, 2015 on an area of 35.6 km². The factions belonged to it. Ormanico and Pieve. The municipality belonged to the valley community Comunità di Primiero and bordered directly on the province of Belluno . The neighboring communities were Cesiomaggiore (BL), Fiera di Primiero, Mezzano , Sagron Mis , Siror and Tonadico.
