The Comunità di Primiero ( Italian for Community of Primör ) is a valley community of the Autonomous Province of Trento . The association of municipalities has its administrative headquarters in Primiero San Martino di Castrozza in the Tonadico fraction .

The valley community in the east of Trentino comprises the communities along the Torrente Cismon in Primör , the Vanoi in the valley of the same name and on the upper reaches of the Mis east of the Passo Cereda ( 1369  m slm ). In addition, the Primör valley community also includes the area north of Passo Rolle ( 1984  m slm ) around the reservoir Paneveggio up to Passo Valles ( 2032  m slm ). Here in the northeast it borders on the province of Belluno , which belongs to the Veneto region , as well as in the east and south of the valley community. On the western border, the Vanoi forms a deep cut between the Lagorai chain to the north and the Cima d'Asta massif to the south . In the south, the south bank of the forms Schenersee pent Cismon the border with the province of Belluno. In the east, the border with Veneto runs over the main ridge of the Pala group and the Vette Feltrine , both of which are part of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site . In the Pala group, the Cima di Vezzana 3192  m slm is the highest point in the Comunità di Primiero. The valley community has a total area of ​​413.39 km².

Protected areas

In the Primör valley community there are seven Natura 2000 protected areas and 23 other communal biotopes that are managed by the valley community. Most of the Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino Natural Park is also part of the Primör Territorial Community.
