The Comun General de Fascia ( Ladin for General Municipality Fassa ) is a valley community of the Autonomous Province of Trento . The association of municipalities has its administrative headquarters in the municipality of San Giovanni di Fassa in the fraction of Vigo di Fassa . As the only valley community in the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Comun General de Fascia has a second official language in addition to Italian , Ladin .

The valley community of Comun General de Fascia, north-northeast of Trento , comprises the communities in the Fassa Valley located on the upper reaches of the Avisio in the Dolomites . It borders in the east on the province of Belluno in the Veneto region and in the north and west on the province of Bolzano - South Tyrol and specifically on the district communities of Salten-Schlern and Pustertal . In the south it borders at Forno on the Comunità territoriale della Val di Fiemme . The border of the valley community runs along the northern foothills of the Latemar group in the southwest over the Rosengarten group in the west, the Langkofel group in the northwest, the Sella group in the north and the Marmolata group in the east and the Bocchekamm in the southeast. The valley community has a total area of ​​317.85 km².
