San Martino di Castrozza (German outdated Sankt Martin am Sismunthbach ) is a place at 1467  m slm in the Primierotal west of the Pala group and south of the Rolle pass in Trentino , Italy .

The place belonged partly to the municipality of Siror and partly to Tonadico until the end of 2015 . Since 2016 it has been entirely in the newly formed municipality of Primiero San Martino di Castrozza . San Martino di Castrozza is surrounded by the Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino Natural Park . A cable car leads from the village to the Cima della Rosetta ( 2743  m slm ), right into the heart of the Pala group.

It is also the place where the plot of the novella Fräulein Else by Arthur Schnitzler takes place.
