Cimego (in the Trentino dialect: Cimek , German outdated: Zimek or Zimeck ) is a fraction of the Italian municipality ( comune ) Borgo Chiese in the province of Trento , region of Trentino-South Tyrol .

geography

The place is about 43 kilometers southwest of Trento on the orographic right side of the Chiese in the Inner Judicaria at 557  m slm

history

Cimego was an independent municipality until 2015 and was merged with Brione and Condino on January 1, 2016 to form the municipality of Borgo Chiese. At the time of the dissolution, the municipality of Cimego had 419 inhabitants and was part of the valley community Comunità delle Giudicarie .
