description
The building ensemble includes the historical center, an elongated north-east and south- west direction , crossed by two streets, the Ringweg (formerly Hirtengasse) and the Moorfeldweg (formerly Höllgasse) . The north-eastern narrow side of this loosely landscaped village square, which has retained a rural character thanks to its greenery, is dominated by the late Gothic , later Baroque parish church of St. Johannis , bordered by the old parish house , the stately buildings of the Meierhof (at the church 4) and the Gasthaus, a hipped roof building from the 18th century.
In a loose grouping, small farms with one-story stables from the 18th to early 19th centuries and larger, mostly renovated three-sided courtyards surround the green .
In the southwest, a number of stately gabled houses from the 19th century complete the building ensemble. With its steep gable roof buildings it still shows the image of the 18th / 19th centuries. Century and, with two exceptions, has not experienced any disruption from new buildings.
