Folgarida (pronounced Folgárida ) is a winter sports area and a fraction of the Italian community ( comune ) Dimaro Folgarida in Val di Sole , in Trentino . The place name Folgarida is derived from the Latin filicaretum and means "place of ferns".
Folgarida lies at 1310 m slm. From 1965 several ski lifts were built, from which the Folgarida-Marilleva ski area with over 20 lifts and more than 30 slopes emerged over time. The latter is associated with Madonna di Campiglio .
