Lamon in Veneto

Lamon is a north-east Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2791 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Belluno in Veneto . The municipality is located about 51 kilometers west-southwest of Belluno and borders directly on the province of Trento .

history

In 2005 there was a referendum in which the majority of the population of Lamon spoke out in favor of detachment from the Province of Belluno and admission to the region of Trentino-South Tyrol and thus to the Autonomous Province of Trento . The relevant proceedings have not yet ended and have been dragged off by the state organs concerned. The "wanting to change the province" has been known colloquially as "lamonizzare" since then and the same movements that followed in Cortina d'Ampezzo , Colle Santa Lucia and Livinallongo del Col di Lana .

traffic

The former Strada Statale 50 del Grappa e del Passo Rolle leads through the province from Ponte nelle Alpi to Predazzo .
