Val di Zoldo (Ladin: Žoldo) is an Italian municipality with 3,022 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian province of Belluno ( Veneto region ).

geography

The parish in Fusine is located about 26 kilometers north-northwest of Belluno on the orographic left side of the valley in the middle Val di Zoldo , east of Monte Civetta and south of Monte Pelmo . The municipality borders in the south on the Belluno Dolomites National Park .

The neighboring municipalities are: Agordo , Alleghe , Borca di Cadore , Cibiana di Cadore , La Valle Agordina , Longarone , Ospitale di Cadore , Selva di Cadore , Taibon Agordino , Vodo Cadore and Zoppè di Cadore .

history

Today's municipality of Val di Zoldo was created in 2016 from the merger of the previously independent municipalities Forno di Zoldo and Zoldo Alto . Since 2018 she has been part of the international alpine club initiative Bergsteigerdörfer .
