Sovramonte is a municipality with 1,357 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Belluno in Italy.
The municipality is 48 km west of Belluno. The neighboring municipalities are Canal San Bovo ( TN ), Feltre , Fonzaso , Imer ( TN ), Lamon , Mezzano ( TN ) and Pedavena .
Sovramonte is part of the union of mountain communities around Feltre (Comunità montana Feltrina). Large parts of the municipality are also part of the Belluno Dolomites National Park. The municipality is formed from the union of the towns of Sorriva, Zorzoi, Servo, Faller, Aune, Salzen, Croce d'Aune, Moline, Gorna. The seat of the municipal administration is in Servo.
In 2006 a referendum was held on the transfer of the municipality from the Province of Belluno and the Veneto region to the Autonomous Province of Trento and thus to the Autonomous Region of Trentino-Alto Adige . 95% of the population voted for the conversion.
