Sospirolo is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3127 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Belluno in Veneto . The municipality is located about 13 kilometers west of Belluno in the Parco nazionale delle Dolomiti Bellunesi . Sospirolo is part of the Comunità Montana Val Belluna . Lago di Mis is located in the municipality and nature park of the Dolomites .
history
In 1456 a Charterhouse ( Certosa di Vedana ) was established in Vedana , and in 2014 it was closed. The Carthusian Sisters moved to other convents in Italy and France.
