Zoldo Alto (in the Ladin dialect : Zoldo Aut ) was a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 915 inhabitants last (as of December 31, 2014) in the province of Belluno in Veneto . The municipality was about 27 kilometers north-northwest of Belluno in the Val di Zoldo and belonged to the Comunità Montana Cadore Longaronese Zoldo . The administrative seat of the scattering community was in the district of Fusine 1177  m slm . The Maè rises here and flows into the Piave .

The municipality with the fractions Brusadaz, Chiesa, Coi, Cordelle, Costa, Fop, Fusine, Gavaz, Iral, Mareson, Molin, Pecol, Pianaz, Rutorbol and Soramaè became the new municipality of Val di Zoldo on February 23, 2016 with Forno di Zoldo united.

The former Strada Statale 251 della Val di Zoldo e Val Cellina (now a provincial road) led through the municipality from Portogruaro to Colle Santa Lucia .

Sports

In addition to its importance as a ski area, the municipality was a stage destination of the Giro d'Italia in 2005 .
