Isola Grande is an island in the Isole dello Stagnone di Marsala archipelago , which lies off the west coast of Sicily and is part of the urban area of Marsala .

With an area of 5.7 km², Isola Grande is by far the largest island in this group of islands. It is very elongated, with a length of seven kilometers and a maximum width of 1.4 km, and in the north and south of the coast of Sicily approaches up to 390 and 1200 meters respectively, while the distance between the coast is up to three kilometers. This separates it from the Mediterranean by a lagoon (stagnone), which gave the archipelago its name and in which the three other islands of the archipelago are located.

Between the northern tip of the island and the Sicilian mainland, the sea is only about half a meter deep, so you can walk across on sandy bottom.

The island is three meters high.

Isola Grande is a flat, sandy island. It is relatively young and formed through sand deposits around two small rocky islets. On the island there are some abandoned salt pans, a forest and some sandy beaches.
