Issaak Pavlovich Kornfeld
Issaak Pawlowitsch Kornfeld , Russian Исаак Павлович Корнфельд , English transcription Isaac Pavlovich Kornfeld, is a Russian-American mathematician who deals with ergodic theory.
Kornfeld received his doctorate in 1975 from the State University of Tashkent under Jakow Sinai . He was temporarily at the Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics and from the beginning of the 1990s professor until retirement professor at North Dakota State University .
Together with Sinai and Sergei Fomin, he is the author of a monograph on ergodic theory in Springer's basic teaching series.
