Isuzu Vietnam Co., Ltd. is an automobile and commercial vehicle manufacturer and dealer based in Ho Chi Minh City , Vietnam .

history

The company was on 19 October 1995 with a capital of 15 million US dollars as a joint venture founded. Another source cites $ 50 million. The Japanese companies Isuzu and Itōchū Shōji each have a stake of 42 and 28 percent in the company.

Production began in the spring of 1997 and initially only reached 2000 vehicles per year. The local production share is rather low at 12%. Production amounted to 8000 vehicles in 2016 with a production capacity of 9,400 units.
