Ivan Dvořák (born April 23, 1978 ) is a Czech football player .

Club career

Ivan Dvořák began playing football with Tatran Poštorná, and in his youth he also played for LeRK Prostějov and Slavoj Velké Pavlovice. He made his professional debut in the second division season 1996/97 for Tatran Poštorná. In the preliminary round of the 1997/98 season Dvořák was loaned to the fourth division club FC Roubina Dolní Kounice .

In the summer of 2000, the midfielder moved to FC Bohemians Prague in the Gambrinus League , where he was regularly used. After three years in the Czech capital, Dvořák went to 1. FC Synot and so continued to play in the first division after the Bohemians were relegated. In Uherské Hradiště the defensive player, also called pit bull because of his aggressive style of play, stayed only six months and moved to Dynamo České Budějovice during the winter break of 2003/04 . There, too, he was an important pillar of the team in defensive midfield.

In the summer of 2007 Ivan Dvořák moved to FC Carinthia in the Austrian First League , where he was used as a defender. In early 2010, Dvořák moved to the Czech third division club MSK Břeclav.
