Ivarsten

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ivarsten is an approximately five meter high boulder and boundary stone (official name: Riksröse 259) that marks the border between Sweden and Norway . It is located about 25 kilometers west of the Kebnekaise . The borderline makes a sharp kink on it, which is also clearly visible on small-scale maps. Due to its size and the yellow-painted tip, it can be seen from afar and serves as a trail marker on the Nordkalottleden between Gautelishytta and Hukejaurestugan .
