Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group

Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group or IWO ARG for short is an Amphibious Ready Group . It currently consists of the USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) , the USS New York (LPD 21) and the USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44) . The ARG is affiliated with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit . In this composition, she took part in the Eager Lion 12 maneuver, among other things . The home port of the ARG has been Naval Station Mayport since 2014 , before that it was Naval Station Norfolk .

An earlier composition consisted of the USS Iwo Joma, the USS Nashville (LPD 13) and the USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) . You were involved in Operation Enduring Freedom from spring 2003, among other things .
