Jewish cemetery (Ahaus)
The Ahaus Jewish cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in the town of Ahaus in the Borken district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is on Wessumer Strasse. At that time this area was called "before the new gate" (windmill gate).
On the 741 m² site there are 58 gravestones with inscriptions, some of which are still legible. The oldest is from 1844, the youngest from 1937. In 1940 two more funerals took place. Gravestones were no longer placed at this point.
From 1822 to 1941 the cemetery served as a burial place for the Jewish community .
