The Jewish cemetery in Brieg ( Brzeg in Polish ), a district town of the Powiat Brzeski in the Opole Voivodeship in Poland , was built around 1800. The Jewish cemetery of the former Jewish community has been a protected architectural monument since 1989 .

history

Around 1800 the Jewish community in Brzeg was able to acquire land on Schüsselndorfer Strasse and set up a cemetery here. Until then, the deceased were buried either in the Jewish cemetery in Breslau or in the Jewish cemetery in Zülz.
