Jewish cemetery (Gorredijk)
The Jewish cemetery in Gorredijk , a district of the Dutch municipality of Opsterland in the province of Friesland , was established in 1804.
history
The first Jews came to Gorredijk in the second half of the 18th century. In 1807 the small Jewish community was able to inaugurate its newly built synagogue .
Until their own Jewish cemetery was established, the Jewish community buried its dead in the Jewish cemetery in Noordwolde . Today there are 112 tombstones in the 1480 m² cemetery. The oldest is from 1807.
The cemetery is between Dwersfeart 17 and 19.
