Jewish cemetery (Mengede)

The Jewish cemetery Mengede is a Jewish cemetery in the city of Dortmund . It is located on the corner of Siegenstrasse and Groppenbrucher Strasse in the Groppenbruch district .

The cemetery was in use from the 19th century and closed in 1952. There are 20 tombstones on the 1163 m² site . The oldest stone from Mengede is from 1912, a stone from Nette was desecrated on the reverse. A memorial stone commemorates the transfer of gravestones from Nette at the end of the 1960s festival .
