Remscheid-Lüttringhausen Jewish cemetery
The Jewish cemetery in Remscheid-Lüttringhausen is located in the Remscheid district of Lüttringhausen near the center of the village; it is the private family cemetery of the Löwenthal family from 1851 (Max Löwenthal † August 15, 1851) to 1905 (Jacob Hertz † July 1905).
With the number 659 is the Jewish cemetery since 7 June, 2006 under monument protection .
history
The first mention was made in 1826: "Cemetery of the Israelite community in Lüttringhausen".
The last occupancy was verifiably in the year 1906. Now the greening / hedge of the cemetery is maintained by the Green Space Office of the City of Remscheid.
