history

The band was founded by Puck Lensing , Tommo Stürtz and Stevo Mikus in connection with the recording of the song Victim of My Savage Heart in winter 2000/2001 .

Many national and international (Spain, Finland, France, Switzerland, Benelux) concerts followed. The band took two years and then released their debut album Evil Deluxe in 2003 via Crazy Love Records. In 2004 the second album Tales of Blood was released . After the third album Bottle Up and Go (2006) the band broke up. The band has existed again since 2010 and plays live sporadically.

Members of the Boozehounds worked alongside and / or after the Boozehounds at Lunatics, Tripods, Sewer Rats , Frantic Flintstones , Killer Racoon Fish, Be a Genius, The Make, Offenders, Pie-O-My, AC & The Shakes.

Some of the lyrics on the albums Evil Deluxe (2002) and Tales of Blood (2004) come from the horror and fantasy author Michael Schreckenberg .

style

Boozehounds play old school psychobilly, in the style of bands like Nekromantix and Batmobile . Further musical influences can be found in horror rock and country . The music is much more text-heavy than other bands in this genre.
