Michael Schreckenberg (Author)
Michael Schreckenberg (born May 8, 1971 in Langenfeld ) is a German horror , crime and fantasy author .
Life
Schreckenberg was born in 1971 in Langenfeld as the only son of his parents. After studying history , philosophy and political science at the University of Wuppertal , he worked as a journalist and PR consultant . His debut novel The Finder was published in 2010 as part of a cooperation between JUHR and Gardez!
In addition to novels and short stories, he wrote song texts for the psychobilly band The Boozehounds and works as a screenwriter for German television.
Schreckenberg lives in Leverkusen with his wife and three children .
Honourings and prices
In 2013 The Wandering War - Sergej was on the shortlist for SERAPH as Best Fantastic Novel of 2012. In 2016, his novel Nomaden was shortlisted by SERAPH for the best book in 2015.
In 2017, Schreckenberg was a member of the jury for the Friedrich Glauser Prize in the "Debut Novel" section.
