JAMWiki is free wiki software written in the Java programming language by Ryan Holliday and based on JavaServer Pages . JAMWiki is licensed under the LGPL . JAMWiki is a Java replica of MediaWiki and uses the same wiki syntax.

history

Ryan Holliday started developing the JAMWiki software in June 2006.

Range of functions

  • Wikipedia syntax - JAMWiki currently supports almost all MediaWiki syntax. These include the following functions:
    • Watch lists
    • MediaWiki footnotes (the <ref>and <references>tag).
    • MediaWiki templates
    • MediaWiki categories
    • Image display (with automatic image resizing)
    • Delete article and revoke deletion
    • Article versions
    • Full text search (implemented with the Lucene search engine)
    • Move / redirect article
  • Internationalization - JAMWiki uses UTF-8 as the standard character encoding , so wikis in languages ​​such as Chinese or Japanese can also be implemented.
