The jack-up platform JB 119 is used for the construction of port facilities and offshore structures . The ship bears the IMO number 8768062. It was used at times as Odin under the flag of Germany . It now sails under the flag of the Bahamas.

history

The working platform, built in Lithuania in 2004, is mainly used in port construction. The ship was used in Wilhelmshaven for the construction of the new Jade Weser Port and in Bremerhaven for ramming the quay for Container Terminal 4 (CT 4).

In 2009, the jack-up platform was converted at the Lloyd shipyard with the participation of the ABH planning office in Emden for around ten million euros especially for use in the offshore sector. A new 300-ton crane with a 65-meter jib and residential units for 40 people were installed. After this conversion, Odin was involved in the construction of six of the twelve wind turbines for the alpha ventus wind farm .

In 2014, the construction company Hochtief Solutions returned the ship to the lessor Jack-Up Barge because it was too small for the construction of the large wind turbines.
