Jacques Rouxel (born before 1981) is a French film architect and production designer .

Life

Rouxel began his career on the film staff in 1981 with television, where he worked on an episode of the television series Fat Swims Up . His first feature film as a production designer was Elsa, Elsa by Didier Haudepin in 1985 . For Jean-Paul Rappeneau's literary adaptation Cyrano von Bergerac , he was nominated together with Ezio Frigerio for an Oscar in the category Best Production Design in 1991 , but that year the award went to Dick Tracy .

Rouxel was also nominated three times for the César and won it in 1999 for Toulouse-Lautrec and 2004 for Bon Voyage . In addition to his film engagements he was isolated repeatedly worked for television, including the German - American Action - crime series Crossing Lines .
