Jahn Reisen is a German tour operator of the Rewe Group (today DER Touristik Group ). The Rewe Group's tourism division contributes 5.8% to group sales with EUR 2.97 billion and is number 2 in the German tour operator market with a market share of 17.89%. Between 2006 and 2013 , the Rewe package tour operators operate under the name “ REWE Touristik GmbH”. Jahn Reisen has been a brand of this company ever since. The Rewe package tour operators have been operating under the name “ DER Touristik Köln GmbH” since 2013 .
Company history
On May 1, 1979, the then Wienerwald boss Friedrich Jahn founded the tour operator Jahn Reisen in Munich. Three years later he sold the company to the Düsseldorf LTU group . In 1996, JAHN REISEN GmbH, Munich, was fully integrated into LTU Touristik GmbH & Co. KG. Jahn Reisen has been part of REWE Touristik Gesellschaft mbH since January 1st, 2001 . In the same year, Jahn Reisen also expanded its program to Austria.
