Jalka

The jalka was a Finnish measure of length and corresponded to the foot . By imperial decree of July 1886, the metric system of measurements and weights became mandatory for post and customs offices, state railways and pharmacies from January 1887, for example. The tax authorities followed in 1890 and January 1892 the private sector.
