James Lee Barrett
James Lee Barrett (born November 19, 1929 in Charlotte , North Carolina , † October 15, 1989 in Templeton , California ) was an American screenwriter and producer .
Life
James Lee Barrett grew up in Charlotte. Before he became a screenwriter, he was with the United States Marine Corps , which is what his first film, The Murder of a Sand Flea, also refers to. At the age of 59 he died of complications from cancer .
