Jan van der Putten
Jan van der Putten (* 1959 ) is a Dutch Southeast Asian scientist .
Life
From 1989 to 2002 was a lecturer in Indonesian language, literature and culture at the University of Leiden . From 2003 to 2012 he was Associate Professor in the field of (literature, culture and culture) Linguistics of the Peninsula and the Island of Southeast Asia at the National University of Singapore . He has been a professor of Austronesian Studies at the Institute for Languages and Cultures of Southeast Asia at the Asia-Africa Institute since 2013 .
His research interests are types of literary expression in various media, dramatic performances, popular culture, language politics, translation studies.
