Jango is a free music streaming - service , create on the user's own radio stations and share. Users select an artist, based on which a radio stream is created that plays similar artists. By evaluating the song played, it can be decided whether an artist is included in the stream more or less often. Currently the website is only available in English and Spanish.

In 2007, Jango became the first music streaming platform to introduce a social media aspect to online radio stations. Users can share their radio streams with other Jango users and listen to those of others.

A special feature is that the website gives small artists a stage by including their music in the radio stations for a fee.

Jango is mainly financed from advertising income and fees that they collect from artists. There is currently no premium service on the website.

Jango was founded in November 2007 by Daniel Kaufman and Chris Dowhan, who previously founded Dash.com. The company headquarters are in New York City .
