Jardin remarquable
Jardin remarquable ( German 'remarkable garden' ) is an award for gardens in France that is awarded by the Comité des Parcs et Jardins de France (Committee of Parks and Gardens in France).
In 2003, the Conseil national des Parcs et Jardins , a newly established institution of the Ministry of Culture , began awarding the gardens. Both public and private gardens can purchase these. The title is awarded for a period of five years based on proposals from regional cultural institutions. On June 30, 2012 there were 379 Jardins remarquables across France .
