Jarjis Danho (born October 15, 1983 in al-Malikiya , Syria ) is a Syrian athlete in mixed martial arts (MMA) who has lived in Germany since 1989 .
Life
Danho belonged to an Assyrian minority in Syria with a Christian Orthodox faith. The family fled to Germany in 1989. He started out boxing and then got into MMA, where he made his professional debut at World of Fighting in 2011 at the age of 27. In 2014 he fought in the MMA Championship "Desert Force". In 2015 he was number 1 in Germany in the weight class over 120 kg and signed a contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
