Java Command Language ( JACL ) is in Java written Tcl - interpreter . The fact that Jacl is written in Java makes Jacl scripts as well as Tcl scripts platform independent . The "normal" Tcl interpreter is also available on many platforms. The Jacl library can be used to use Java libraries within Tcl, but also to access Tcl functions from Java.
