Jean-Armand de Joyeuse

Jean-Armand de Joyeuse (1631–1710), called "marquis" de Joyeuse, baron de Saint-Jean, seigneur de Ville-sur-Tourbe, was a French general and Marshal of France .

Jean-Armand de Joyeuse was a son of Jean de Joyeuse, a French cavalry officer. He fought in Germany and the Netherlands from 1648, became Knight of the Order of the Holy Spirit in 1688 , Marshal of France in 1693 and Governor of Metz , Toul and Verdun in 1697 .

He died in 1710 without an heir.
