The Jenaplan School Nuremberg is a primary school in independent agencies of the Jena Plan School Association Nürnberg eV in Nuremberg district Hummelstein and as a substitute school approved by the state.
history
The foundation of the school goes back to the foundation of the Jenaplan School Nuremberg eV on June 15, 2002. On February 22, 2003, the Bavarian Ministry of Culture approved the establishment of the school and found a first classroom in the rooms of the Theodor Billroth School at Billrothstrasse 16 in the Mögeldorf district . Due to the decision of the government of Middle Franconia on June 23, 2003 to give the school permission to start teaching on the basis of Jenaplan pedagogy, the school was able to start operations on September 9, 2003, initially with two classes. This made it the first approved Jenaplan school in southern Germany. By September 2006, the school had grown to five classes, so that the premises of the Adolf-Reichwein-Schule at Schleifweg 39 had to be used at short notice before searching in December of the same year with a former MAN company at Pillenreuther Straße 165 found a new school building. The listed Baroque Art Nouveau building from 1914 was last used as the administration building and headquarters of the software company Dr. Staedtler used.
