Jens Zimmermann is a German musician and DJ who is known by his real name as AzReal .

Jens Zimmermann is said to have shown a great interest in music as a young man. In the beginning he did not fixate himself on the electronic music styles, but made his experiences with rock and EBM .

After he met Torsten Fenslau , they formed the Culture Beat combo and celebrated worldwide success. After the dissolution, Jens Zimmermann caused a stir in the drum and bass area under the artist name "AzReal" and did not return from there until 2005. Since then, his focus has been on techno and minimal techno .
