Europa Plus ( Russian Европа Плюс , Jewropa Pljus ) is a Russian radio station from Moscow , which broadcasts its programs nationwide around the clock.

The station first broadcast on April 30, 1990, making it the first commercial radio station in the Soviet Union . The program focus of Europa Plus is above all modern pop and rock music , aimed at a younger audience. The broadcaster's music selection will be based on the commercial mainstream, with a mix of Russian and international titles. At the time of its inception, Europa Plus was the first Soviet radio station to regularly hear foreign pop music.

The Europa Plus broadcasting center is located at 20 Stanislavskaya Street in central Moscow. Another studio was opened on March 13, 2015 on the occasion of the upcoming 25th anniversary.

Today, Europe Plus is broadcast in over 800 cities in Russia and other successor states of the Soviet Union (including the Ukraine , Belarus , Kazakhstan and Latvia ) and their surroundings. Europe Plus is often not receivable far from cities, but this also applies to most other Russian radio stations. There is also a live stream on the Internet . In terms of market share, Europe Plus was the third most important broadcaster in Russia at the end of 2009, while in Moscow it was number 5 of all radio stations.
