Jibacoa

Jibacoa is a fishing village in the province of Mayabeque on Cuba . It is located in the municipality of Santa Cruz del Norte at the mouth of the Rio Jibacoa , 60 km east of Havana . The settlement was founded in 1756.

In the 1990s, the place became the all-inclusive - tourism developed and east of the village were built extensive installations. This was one of the first foreign investments in the Cuban economy.
