Jiěfàng Rìbào (Chin. 解放 日报) is the press organ of the Shanghai Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The newspaper is published daily by the Jiefang Daily Newspaper Group with a circulation of approximately 700,000 copies.
The first edition of Jiefang Ribao appeared on May 28, 1949 under the first editor Zhang Chunqiao .
