Jiuli Hu ( Chinese 九鲤湖 , Pinyin Jiǔlǐ Hú ), literally: "Nine Carp Lake", is a lake in the city of Putian in the Chinese province of Fujian . It is located high in the mountains northwest of the city center, the Chengxiang district , and is known for the nine waterfalls at the lower end of the lake. At the top of the lake there are more than a hundred caves of various shapes and sizes. There are poems carved on the walls by historical figures.
