Joachim Szecsenyi (born November 17, 1953 in Kassel ) is a specialist in general medicine and a social scientist .

Life

He is co-founder and director of the Göttingen Institute for Applied Quality Promotion and Research in Health Care ( AQUA Institute ), founded in 1995 . In addition, since 2001 he has been the Medical Director of the Department of General Medicine and Health Services Research at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg .
