Joaquín Rocha (born August 16, 1944 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican boxer . Rocha was a bronze medalist at the 1968 Olympic Games and silver medalist at the 1970 Central American and Caribbean Games and the 1971 Pan American Games .

Career

In 1968 Rocha was Mexican champion and took part as such in the Olympic Games of the same year, in which he reached the semi-finals after victories over Adonis Ray, Ghana (4: 1), and Rudi Lubbers, Netherlands (3: 2) however against Jonas Čepulis , Soviet Union (TKO 2nd), lost and thus won the Olympic bronze medal.

Rocha won the silver medal at the Central American and Caribbean Games in 1970 and the Pan American Games in 1971 .
