Johannes Husner
Johannes Husner (* 15th century in Waldshut ) was a humanist and the author of a grave poem on Erasmus of Rotterdam .
Little is known about the life of Magister Johannes Husner, who according to contemporary sources came from Waldshut. He lived in Basel in the Erasmus area of Rotterdam. His name can be found as an ownership entry in a print by Johann Froben from 1523. He contributed a grave poem (epitaph) to the memorial book “Catalogi duo operum D. Erasmi Roterodami” published by Froben and Episcopius in 1537, which contains the first systematic catalog raisonné of Erasmus's writings. at.
