John V (Catholicos)

John V. historian (Հովհաննես Դրասխանակերտցի, Yovhannēs Drasxanakertc'i, John of Draskhanakert today [ Gyumri ]), was 897 to 925 of the Catholicos of the Armenian Apostolic Church .

He owes his nickname to his main work, a history of Armenia from the mythical beginnings to his time.

He moved the seat of the Catholic Cat from Dvin to Vaspurakan .
