The Johanneskreuz stands in the Gürzenich district of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia on the corner of Gürzenicher Strasse and Valencienner Strasse .

The wayside cross is inscribed and dated to the year 1769.

The approximately two-meter-high restored wayside cross consists of a base and two-tiered cross pillars made of bluestone . The representation of St. John is worked out as a bas-relief . A newer cast iron body hangs on the cross.

The building is registered under No. 6/008 in the list of monuments of the city of Düren.
